Socke Puppies, 1 week and 5 days old

I hope, you don’t blame me for the fact that I fell behind with work regarding news around our puppies. A full agenda, lot of puppy visitors and a show during the weekend have taken their time. Besides, our grown up dogs also want to have their daily portion of attention. Socke’s puppies are in the whelping box in the living room. Socke has divided her sleeping places over different locations outside of the whelping box. Sometimes she sleeps on the couch, sometimes on the large ridgipad cushion or just in the middle of the room. Since last week Friday, I am finally sleeping in my own bed again. Every 3 hours, the alarm clock goes off and than I help Socke to lay down in her whelping box. Not an easy job for a dog mother who has 10 puppies. She is extremely careful and also lays down very carefully. To help her and to make sure that all puppies get something to drink, I help her. All puppies are laid in one corner of the whelping box, Socke will than go in the other corner and as soon as she is laying, the complete herd is rushing over to get a nipple. As far as their weights are concerned , they are doing perfect as well as their development. Today, Monday they are 1 week and 5 days of age. The names have been decided. The theme that has been used for this litter, starts with the word “Never”.

The males: Never to Late, Never can say goodbye, Never walk alone, Never enough, Never forgetyou
