Kalisz and Stettin/Polen, Wirges/Germany and Genk/Belgium

Lafayette aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, who now lives in Poland with Dorota and Pawel has conquered her first show with bravery. They where at the Nat-Show of Kalisz. “Tosia” became Best Puppy in Breed and later that day against 28 other puppies from all breeds, Res-Best in Show. Great, congratulations.

On Saturday, 29 June a CACIB Show was held in Genk/Belgium. Mrs. Belinda Derijcke from Belgium judged the OES. Best Male became Maryse Cornelis and Johny Kieffer’s “Keen on you aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”. His litter sister, Chris Beirendonk’s “Coco Chanelle aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal“, became Best Bitch and Best of Breed. In the big Ring an American Lady judged, who selected her under the last eight in this large Group.

Wirges, in the Westerwald Germany. Here, the DOESC holds their annual double Show. On Saturday the Swede Johann Anderson judged and on Sunday the Englishman Russel Jones. The total entries where magnificent, 45 on the first day and 50 OES on the second day. With lots of talking I could convince the Vanbossche family to go and show there, because they do not like to show at clubshows and especially not with English Breed Specialists. Chris neither wanted to go, as she was already at the Show in Genk on Saturday. But I could convince both, as I thought, that Johann Anderson from Sweden is a good judge, however I have never seen him judging OES before. With Russel Jones, I was sure, that he would like Justbecause and Coco Chanelle alot. He loves small bitches and great, strong boned males with lots of Coat with the correct colour. Would I have stuck my hand in the fire for this. I would have burned it. Russel Jones judged completely different. than I was used of him and the Vanbossche family will never ever show anymore under a Enlish Breed Specialist…..

On Saturday, “Floh” won over a 5 male the strong  Champion Class. Only one BOB was chosen, but no BOS. BOB became the Bitch, but it is not known, if Ch. Justbecause aus dem Elbe-Urstomtal, became Best Male.

Sundays, Russel Jones had one championmale more than had been entered on the day before, but who, according to the saying of the owner had become dirty and therefore was not present. “Floh” was not even placed in the Champion Class. As you all know, judges are always right.

Chris Beirendonk had no luck either and became 2nd of 2 Bitches with  “Coco Chanelle aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”. Have a look at the pictures, they say more than a thousand words…. (the pictures of Wirges with Coco Chanelle have been made by Inge van Engelen. Thanks Inge)
