Shows November 2021
We were on November 6th / 7th, 2021 in Bleiswijk / NL at the double CACIB show. Saturday was very stressful with 3 dogs. All the work at home washing and brushing the 3 is a 3 day chore.
this is what our “Lilou” usually looks like when she is not a show dog ….
Johann Andersson from Sweden was the judge. He is a very well known Bearded Collie breeder. I had high expectations of him. which unfortunately were not met.
“Cooper” became Best Male
Rock me Amadeus aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, again well presented by Priscilla van Oosten.
here the 3 males who had won their classes: intermediate class: Macoes Kentucky, open class: Vigilats Rope Daner and Cooper
“Ocean” Ch. Love ‘n Stuff Elbe-Urstromtal “was alone in the intermediate class and got Excellent 1. The judge thought that her ribs should be longer … that is an important point in the Bearded Collie standard. However, in the bobtail standard it is only described that they have to be well arched. In addition, the ribs are long at Ocean …
“Lilou” Ch. Seejungfrau aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal won the champion class. However, she was only Res-Best Bitch. Fortunately this Res-CAC was enough to finish her Dutch Champion title.
The best bitch was the youth class winner “The Stunning Stien of Snowboot Bears” from Chris Beirendonk.
Best Male Ch. Rock me Amadeus aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, the judge Mr. Anderson and Best of Breed” The Stunning Stien of Snowboot Bears”
On the way back I had to get 2 pieces of cake from our baker to eat away my frustration. Afterwards I felt sick too …
On the 2nd day in Bleiswijk, Mrs. Ingrid Hectors from Belgium was the judge. Nobody expected me to enter a dog under her, because it is known that we are not friends. Nevertheless, I had entered our “Ocean”. After the day before and Chris Beirendonk’s victory, I knew that I couldn’t win. But there was also a female champion class. Actually Melissa van Oosten was supposed to present “Ocean”, but “Ocean” was only looking for me and so we had to change our plan.
Love’n Stuff Elbe Urstromtal wom Res- Best Bitch, Res- CAC and CACIB
Best bitch and Best of Breed ” The Stunning Stien of Snowboot Bears”of Chris Beirendonk.
We had time on Sunday to take a quick photo of Ocean. She is 17 months old.
Sunday was very cozy. We sat in a relaxed group with the van Oosten family, Casper Knippenborg and the Gerard Bruintjes team. Gerard is a very famous bouvier breeder and we have had a very pleasant friendship over several decades.
However, it was the first time that I was allowed to sit on his lap. Of course, Casper Knippenborg captured this immediately with the camera.
From Friday the 12th to 11th to Sunday the 14th of November the Int Show in Herning/Danmark took place. . Amilia Helin had came from Sweden with her sister. She had “Rolfi” and his daughter Irma with her.
Here are Rolfi’s results:

Also on the weekend of November 13/14, 2021 there was a double CACIB show in Karlsruhe/GER . Unfortunately there were several changes of judge. Originally Mr. Dux and Mrs. Ruth Wagner were supposed to judge. Now on the first day, Mr. Josef Hartig judged. Ziva “Ch. Sexygirl aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” received the Res-CACIB, Res-CAC from Mrs. Weissmann
On the 2nd day the Swiss judge Mr. König was enthusiastic about “Ziva”. She won best bitch with CACIB and CAC as well as VDH-SA
“Ch. Sexygirl aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”
best of Breed the male: Valentino Dolcevita Golden Years owned by the Bechberger’s , the judge Mr. König , Mrs. Weissmann with her Ch. Sexygirl aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, best bitch
“Ziva” a dream of a bobtail. This head and expression is to melt away.
19-11-2021 11 Clock: I just got the message that there is a new champion !!
Mr. Grimm is with his “Tannhäuser aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” at the exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland. There he won the CAC from the intermediate class with judge Mr. R. Doedijns / NL. “Nitro” won his 4th CAC and received the title of Swiss Show Champion.
He is just 16 months old and got his first 3 CACs in Switzerland at the beginning of October. He is Champion No. 164 for our breed. The 10th champion for his father Ch. Norman Harrison aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal and the 1st champion for his mother Ch. Q’ Anna Anka aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal
On the last day of the exhibition “Tannhäuser” was shown in the youth class and received the title of Swiss Youth Champion. He was also best of breed and was in the last round, of the best youth dogs of all breeds.
On November 21st, 2021 the Eurodogshow took place in Kortrijk / Belgium. It’s a big and very well organized show. There were 12 OES registered for the Irish Mr. V. O’Brian. Lilou already had diarrhea in the hotel in the morning and I didn’t feel like going to the show at all. We only had to drive 15 minutes from our hotel to the halls. My dear friend Monika Fuss encouraged me to go . It was raining and we both broke a nail to make matters worse!
The day was shitty ……
Like so many judges, Mr. O’Brian was also impressed by a lot of hair on the dog and has forgotten what is witten in the breed standard, e.g. about a square body and full nose pigment, rising topline, etc. Someone just wrote an article on Facebook about the new breeder, who are influenced by photos. The “artists” among the exhibitors who having hugh coats on their dogs (somthime so much headcoat like a giant poodle) are very clever with their scissors and the dog will look perfect later. Perfect yes but no longer like an OES anymore. This makes them able to mislead the judge. But not every red car is a Ferrari …..
Cooper was moving without any problems on the slippery floor and is carring his head and neck perfectly.. “Cooper” would had certainly a big change in the main ring.
But that’s life.
As always, Priscilla van Oosten presented “Cooper” excellently .
Res- CACIB Rock me Amadeus aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, the judge Mr. O’Brian , Best Male and Best of Breed: ” Reata’s Vector Space” Owner. S. Meijer
“Lilou” was in the Champion Class with another female and was 2nd behind. That was the first time that this bitch stood in front of Lilou and there were many shows before.
1st place: Remember the Sweet Dream of Snowboot Bears 2nd place: Seejungfrau aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal
The day was saved by Monika Fuss’s Bearded Collie. Ch. Firstprizebears Pikes Peak was judged by the same judge and got Best of Breed. In the big group 1, judged by the Dane Mr. Klindrup, “Pike” was 2nd in group 1. The Bobtail was not even selected.
It was a long day. Got up at 5.30 and back home at 7.30
Amilia Helin was at the Christmas show of the Danish Bobtail Club on November 27th. in Lille Skensved. It always has to be a very harmonious and cozy event. There were 35 OES registered for Mrs. Sue Addock from England. 32 of them were shown.
“Rolfi” is dressed up. Amilia later won the trophy for best brushed dog of the day
Seepferdchen aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal won the open class male he was 2nd best male and lost to the male out of youth class “Danish Delight All Over The World”
