Shows in June 2021

AT LAST!!!!!!!! There were again exhibitions in June, immediatly 3 in a row: Dormagen on June 20th. and the double show with club show in Wirges on June 26th and 27th, 2021. I was as happy as a someone can be.

But then wanting to do too fast and too much at the same time . While cleaning the whelingbox I had to puppies in my hands and wanted to step over in the 2nd area of the puppybox. I struggled and smashed on the floor. I broke my right shoulder, luckly the puppies were ok. I was badly handcapt an could do nothing anymore.  I was very depressed. Then I picked up the phone and an armada of dear friends stood by and helped. Brigit Reimers were her to help with the birth of Sidney’s puppies . Monika Fuss came to brush Lilou, Femke Baake traveled from Enschede/netherlands to brush Doro and Norman. Mike Friederich from Nieuwstadt came 2 a 3 times a week to help with dog washing and brushing. Paul …. my great love, managed the entire rest of the way, on top he had to help myself with everthing. He slept next to the whelping box for 14 full nights to take care of Sidney and her babies.

You can always rely on my dear friend Chris van Beirendonk. She brushed “Cooper” and drove with me to Dormagen to exhibit “Cooper” and “Sonja”. Driving a car is also not possible because I cannot change gears with my right hand …….. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU you are wonderful friends.

A week later we went to Wirges (near Koblenz and Montabauer) for 2 days. This time with “Cooper” and “Anna. Chris and I have often gone to shows together and ALWAYS have a lot of fun. We are a very well-rehearsed team. I’ve never been to Wirges. It was a very nice and relaxed show both days. On Saturday 31 OES were registered for Mrs. Melchior from Luxembourg:

“Sean Connery aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” now 17 months old started in the youth class and had to be satisfied with a 2nd place. Owner family Diringer

“Cooper” played big macho again and screwed up his chance to win and came in 2nd in the open class”Rock me Amadeus aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

The dear Mrs. Martina Weissmann was in the open class with her Ziva. She got 2nd place with Res-CAC and Res-VDH. It is always difficult for a private dog owner when a breeder shows the dog for another private man. I know for sure that if I had been in the ring with Ziva it would have been different.

The day had to end with a good meal and good company. The 3 of us had fun.

When we were finally tired in the hotel bed, there was the movie “Mamma Mia” with Meryl Streep on TV. Of course we had to sing along and have partied. Actually, we were way too tired.

On Sunday the weather was even better, i.e. even warmer than on Saturday. In the morning, the beautiful catalog of the club show had to be studied carefully. Today there were 36 OES who took part.

“Sean Connery aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” won the youth class, was club youth winner and best junior dog, owned by the Diringer family

“Cooper” won the open class and was best male and club winner “Rocke me Amadeus aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” 2nd was Reatas Yukon

Ms. Weissmann was again 2nd in the open class with Ziva. The dog in 1st place was presented by the dog’s breeder, as the day before. The owners could do it themselves, just like our Ms. Weissmann

2 great and exhausting days were behind us. Chris still had to take me home after we put everything in the car. 2 hours and 15 minutes drive, with a pit stop at Mc Donald ….. and then Chris went on for 1 hour and 15 minutes to Vorselaar, where she is at home. Thanks Chris it was great.
