Exhibitions in June 2023

After the intensive Pentecost weekend with the Euro show etc. we didn’t have a break.

On Sunday 4-6-2023 the CAC show of the British Sheepdog Club took place in Weiswampach in Luxembourg. There were 5 OES registered, all bitches! in the youth class 2, open, intermediate and champion class each 1 bitch. The judge was Mr. Paul Jentgen from Luxembourg.

Chris Beirendonk was the big loser of the day with her beautiful Norman daughter. She was 2nd in junior class.

all others got their CAC, because there is a CAC in every class.

the winning bitches: The youth class, “Uschi Glas”, Gerda Derksen with “Ultrachic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” and Chris with “Stien”.

“Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” won her 2nd CAC at this show and has now fulfilled all the requirements for the Luxembourg Champion. She is champion no 170 in our long gallery.

The culmination of the day was: our “Uschi Glas” won the Best in Show

Our hard-working exhibitor Angelika Bardelli from Switzerland was also on the road again. This time to Dijon/France. There was a CACIB show on Saturday and the championship on Sunday.

Judge on Saturday was Mr. Kerfriden from France for the 14 OES. Best junior and best bitch from the youth class was for “Verliebt aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”.

On Sunday Mr. Karcher/France judged and “Verliebt aus dem Elbe-Urstomtal” won Best Junior and has now fulfilled all the requirements for the French Junior Champion.

This is “Luana’s” 3rd youth title in less than 2 months

Mrs. Georgina Jenssen had a good weekend at the Woofstock Shows in California:

Underpressure aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal (AKA Fritzi) wagged her tail this weekend at the Woofstock dog show!
Results:
– Friday- 2nd open bitch class– Judge Linda Clark from OK
– Saturday- W open bitch class- Judge Juan Miranda. Kudos to this international judge for his impressive professional skills judging the selection for the best of breed.
– Sunday – W open bitch class and Reserved champion of winner’s bitch- Judge Harry H. (Butch) Schulman from KY.
The venue was packed. Tons of grooming. Many champions and professional handlers. Nice to be able to meet personally some of my FB friends like Christine Lambert-Winter and Christine Bunsick-Pesche. Sorry if I missed connecting with others. The show can be a bit overwhelming for the newbies like me.
Congratulations to ALL the winners! And to the organization for this local event! I adore the OES Xmas ornaments (sweet treat!)

Impression from this showdays

On 10-6-2023 the OES Club Jubilee Exhibition was held near Oslo in Norway. That must have been a wonderful event. I must have missed something there.
     

To my great delight, 4 Elbe Urstromtaler were registered for this exhibition. Judge was Ray Owen from the Amblegate OES.

Amilia Helin came from Sweden with her “Rolfi”. Multi Ch. “Seepferdchen aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” won the champion class and was 2nd Best Male
In the junior class males, the 2 litter brothers (father Rock me Amadeus and mother Rote Rose) started for the first time at an exhibition.
Von und zu aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal“, he was rated excellent 2nd place
Voll Kraft aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal“, he won the 4th place with excellent
“Ursula Carven aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” was placed 3rd in the open class bitch.

On 18.6.2023 the new OES Club NLOESA organized its annual club match on the grounds of the Hertog Jan Brewery in Arcen/NL. The breed specialist Jesper Ravn from Denmark was invited as a judge. I have known Jesper for over 30 years and had never shown under him. So we entered our “Uschi” for the first time in the open class, because now 24 months old. “Caro” started together with Paul for the first time in the junior class with her 9 months. Gerda Derksen was also entered with “Ultrachic” and surprisingly family Nijsen with “Verschlafen”, Caro’s brother was also there. Jesper Ravn judged very strict and there were some Very Good instead of Excellent.
It was a very humid and hot day, very harmonious and pleasant. There were 27 OES entered. “Caro’s” youth class was with 6 females, the most occupied class.

Youth class female: 1st place the beautiful daughter of our “Norman“, “Very Vain Viviane of Snowboot Bears”, “Vorbildlich aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” took 2nd place , 3rd place “Nika van het Nachtegaalspad”, 4th place “Brwyn’s Zelda”.
The intermediate class bitch was won by “Ultra Chic from Elbe-Urstromtal”. “Ziva” is owned by Gerda Jolink. On the 2nd place was Chris Beirendonk with ” Unforgettalble Black Mask of Snowbootbears”.
“Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” started with her 24 months for the first time in the Open Class and was rated Excellent 1. On the 2nd place with Very good came Peggy Kraaigenveld and her ” Hockesberghe’s Walc Grace us Giulia”, on the 3rd place also with Very good “Shining Star of Realtity Dream”.
These were all class winners in bitches: The daughter of Norman, Ultrachic, Uschi Glas, breeding class the daughter of “Rock me Amadeus”, Philipe with Piper and Alain with the beautiful veteran bitch.

By 4pm we were done and stayed for the BBQ together, which was very cozy. Then my Paul didn’t see the pole on the way out and wrecked the right side of my beloved VW Multivan. very messy, since no comprehensive insurance. C’est la vie, mon chéri.
 In Sweden on this Sunday the 18.6.2023 in Mohed an International Show took place. Judge wr Mrs. P. Junehall/S. “Von und Zu aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” 11 months old, a son of “Rock me Amadeus” and “Rote Rose” owned by Uffe Anderson won the CAC and became Best Male. Bravo and Tillykke
Our busy exhibitors have to do something also on the last weekend in June. Martina Weissmann was at the International Show in Giessen/GER. Mrs. Melchior from Luxembourg judged “Ziva” as best of breed “Ch. Sexygirl aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”, well done .

Gerda Jolink made the long journey to Aarau in Switzerland on 24 and 25.6.2023, there was 2x a CACIB and 1x a CAC show on 2 days. From the few entered OES, it was Gerda with her “Ziva” who had another bitch as competition.
Angelika Bardelli had the show around the corner, because she lives in Switzerland. “Verliebt aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” celebrated her 1st birthday on Saturday. She won Best Young Dog on all 3 days and right on the first show she got the 3rd Youth CAC in another country and is now FCI International Youth Champion.

On the first two shows “Ziva” “Ultra chic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” became 2nd with Res- CAC , on 25.6.2023 she got the CAC and Res- CACIB
