Uschi’s and Texas puppies are born

Our Uschi is a very special OES lady, a real diva. She has won everything we wanted at exhibitions. Now she was 2.5 years old and we were thinking about whether she should have babies. My dream dog is and was “Texas”. His son “Norman Harrsion” was a blueprint of him. “Texas” died in 2016. However, I had his sperm frozen about 14 years ago. I was happy to take the risk and give it a try.

Everything was meticulously monitored by Cryolab and Bregje van de Meulengraf in Eersel/NL and the insemination was carried out to the hour. Then it was time to wait.

On the 25th day I took “Uschi” to Eersel for an ultrasound and my suspicion that she was pregnant was confirmed.

I was overjoyed.

On Friday March 15th, 2024 my Uschi said it was time to get her puppies. That was day 59, so she could have happily waited another 4 days. She gave birth to 8 puppies in 4.5 hours. 2 males and 6 girls. However, a very small, beautiful girl was stillborn.

Now we are completely satisfied with 2 boys and 5 girls.

Our puppies have already been given names. As a tribute to our extraordinary “Texas” (Ch. Eldorado), all names will begin with Texas. This year all litter names in Belgium must begin with the letter X.
