On Saturday, 24 August 2025, we finished early at the show in Putte, Belgium, Heidi was Best Female, but not BOB. As a result, we didn’t have to go into the ring of honour. At home, the other dogs were well looked after by our Daisy until the evening.

The city of Lier was only a 30-minute drive away, and I had always wanted to visit it. It is home to the famous Zimmer Clock, which was built in 1935 by Louis Zimmer.

Of course, ‘Heidi’ accompanied us through this beautiful, very old city. Lier is called the Bruges of Kempen. It is very cosy, with many nice shops and terraces

Then it was time for a drink. ‘Heidi’ shared  ice creamand cream  with me.

On Sunday, we decided to drive to Arcen near Venlo to visit the castle gardens. We had won a voucher for two people for these very famous castle gardens in the NLOESA raffle at the club match.

This time, ‘Uschi’ and ‘Caro’ accompanied us and we spent two hours walking through these beautiful grounds. The castle is also open to visitors, but dogs are not allowed inside.
