Posh and Pom’s World of Adventure

‘Posh’ is a week younger than our “Pom”; they are both 5 months old. ‘Posh’ has to stay with us for a few more months before he can fly to his new home in Taiwan.

Naturally, we take great care to ensure that they are properly socialized.

An exceptional opportunity to do so was the Maaseik “Knappkoek Festival” on Sunday 6 September 2026. Knappkoek is a Maaseik specialty. It is a dry biscuit with coarse sugar that has been around for more than 150 years.

There are parades, loud music, and loads of people. The drums right next to us at the edge of the market were quite frightening. But we got through it all and went home feeling relaxed.

Monday evening was their first ‘day at school’. Ring training – in other words, practicing for the show at the Kynologenclub in Echt, the Netherlands. I’m so proud of how well they both mastered all the exercises. My dear Paul had to come along again to help with the second dog.
