Nicki’s Sunday children

“Hot of the press” out of the whelpingbox in Maaseik/B. Today, Sunday 22 March 2015, Nicki gave birth to her very first litter. Quick and good. At 15.30 the first puppy saw the daylight and around 20.15 hrs, nr. 9 was born. In between she took a small break. It is now 22.30 and she lays very quietly in the whelpingbox. In a moment we will weigh all the puppies, clean Nicki and the whelpingbox. I was lucky, that she gave birth to her puppies today. Harry was at home and could concentrate on the other puppies and larger dogs. That was a great help to me. Otherwise I would have had serious problems in maniging everything. Simply said: Nicki was too quick and the puppies came too fast behind eachother. Because of this speed, I was just able to take a picture with the iPhone. More will come tomorrow.
