The last Show of 2013, our Number 29 in Cuijk/NL

As every year around Christmas, Wijchen/NL holds their annual Christmas Show. Wijchen is not to far away from Nijmegen/NL. This year however, the show was going to be held in Cuijk. This is on a stone throw away from Airport Weeze in Germany. There is much more space in the halls, but in the hall we where in there was not enough light around the ring. It was the all or nothing Show for our “King”. He had with 5 visited show a backlog of 2 points behind the Number 1, who had visited 8 shows. Mrs. L. Mouchart-Kleingeld judges the OES for the first time and 14 had been entered. The largest Classwas  the Champion Class in which 3 males had been entered. We had also taken our “Niki” with us, who started in the Intermediate Class. Several breeds had to be judged before it was our turn and the excitement could be felt, due to the fact that we had to wait so long. Willy and Ron van Opijnen had, together with us, invited all OES participants for the traditional Christmas Cake and Champagne. The Christmas Cake we tasted, but where scared to drink the Champagne. Three dogs had to go into the ring first, one from the Youth, one from the Intermediate and one from the Open Class. Than it was finally our turn. The three gadiators in the Champion Class. All exhibitors knew what was going on and where following everything very closely and with the necessary tension. King won, his competitor became third and than it was clear that he had become the Top Show Male 2013. This was exactly what I wanted and needed to make a stantement. King became Best Male, Best of Breed and was placed 5th in the Group, which was judged by Mrs. A. Beenen.

“Niki” (Aryakas Niki Elbeurstromtal”), won the Intermediate Class and the friendly gentlemen who ended second was so angry that he did not want to particiapte anymore at our “Christmas Brunch”. Chris Beirendonk, our savior in need, was so willing to show Niki when the placing for Best Bitch had to be done. I wanted to concentrate myself completely on King and had not calculated any changes with Niki. BUT: Chris and Niki won Best Bitch and got her first CACIB in the Netherlands. A better closure of the season could not be wished. Willy and Ron van Opijnen where completely relaxed with their “Abby”. She had collected so many points for Top Show OES of the year, that she could not be surpassed.

Now there was Champagne for everyone and one lady had to be “pursued”, because she didn’t feel like it any longer. But alls well that ends well. It was a nice and cosy afternoon with almost all OES contestants and our Fan Group of other breeds, to celebrate together.

And as last, where Eve and Chris Jones at the LKA Show in Birmingham, where Mr. Russell Jones judged. With their “Pebbles” Lafite aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, they became Best Puppy of All Breeds.
