Lafayett and Jadore
” Tosia” (Lafayette aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal) went to a mammoth show weekend in Chisina (Moldavia). During these 3 days, 6 Shows where held, divided over three countries. Please don’t ask me how this worked, but it was like this. “Tosia” is only 9 months old and has won 3 new Junior Titles: Junior Champion of Moldavia and Montenegro, plus Philippine Junior Champion. What a marathon! But very impressive. We congratulate the owners, the Bodzioch family from Poland, on their victories.
Yes, we have been, with Doro, to the United Kingdom for the fourth time, on the hunt for the 3rd and last CC for the English Title. The judge was Mrs. Sandra Bushell, who judged for the first time on CC level. Th show was held in Swindon, a beautiful Hall and the surrounding of Swindon is dazzling. The weather was gorgeous, the journey very pleasant and I didn’t have to drive by myself, because Harry joined me. I was full of expectations, because Mrs. Bushell, had told me, during our many meetings, at the various shows that we met each other, how much she loves our Doro (Multi Ch. Jadore aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal). Due to this, I thought I would have a chance. But here I made a large mistake. Doro and I ended on a third place in Open Class, occupied with 9 dogs. Lafite aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, belonging to Eve and Chris Jones, became 2nd in the Puppy Class Bitches. There was one moment of joy: The beautiful son of our “Texas” (Eldorado aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal), became Best Puppy In Show. His name is “Bono”, alias Zottels Best kept Secret. Nevertheless we had a beautiful day. Pam Tomes spoiled us with a delicious cake, owing to the fact that her male dog had become champion. We had many nice meetings with old friend from the OES world. Monday I needed for myself to get rid of the frustration. In addition I am asking myself the question, whether is is not smarter to give up the fight for the English Title, seen the fact that the traveling is tiresome, because of the far distances, but not to forget the costs you make and it is better to put that into a savings account. Doro is now 3 years old and has to get her first litter. So I really have to start thinking, what is wise to do.
