King is Netherlands Champion

On April 1st, our “King” (Kingsize aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal) reached the age of  27 months. From this age on, a dog can win the Title of Netherlands Champion. As our King had already won several CAC’s, theoretically he could do with a Res-CAC in order to obtain the title. But King would not be King and he wins with his unique style. Sunday, at the Show in Goes/NL, he became Best of Breed. The Frenchman Guy Jenny, had to judge 12 OES, 6 males and 6 bitches. The occupation was very good. First of all “King” won the championclass against a son of our “Excalibur” (Jarco of Snowbootbears), than he had to take it up against males from the Youth, Intermediate and Veteran Classes and he managed and won. The owner of a male from the Veteran Class was unfortunately a little unfair by hitting our King constantly on his hocks. I had asked the lady to be so kind and keep distance, but this didn’t help. I had no other choise than to stop all of a sudden during the running in the ring and to tell her very clearly not to disturb us during the running. Such a behaviour is just not done and has nothing to do in the ring and especially not with an old showgirl like me. If you are having the opinion , that the dog in front of you is not running fast enough, just keep distance! The situation with the bitches was exiting. Willy and Ron van Opijnen needed for the “Eldorado”  daughter “Definitly Xquiszt Abegayle” one more CAC in order to obtain the Title. They are working this issue since Oktober. So we supported Willy with everything we had and it worked. She won and now our “Texas” has one more Champion Child. It is Nr. 15. Congratulations to Willy and Ron. We had a very enjoyable group of OES ladies on this day and gossiped about the man’s world. Haven’t had so much fun in a long time.

This is the wonderful Judging Report made by Mr. Jenny: Very nice and spectacular. Excellent skull, stop, muzzle. Verg good pigmentation. Excellent neck and Topline. Excellent shoulder, chest. Excellent coat and colour. Excellent Movement with a lot of driving. I guess I have to frame it.
