Exhibitions in December 2024
We have a new champion: Mex. Ch. ‘Underpressure aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ was in Mexico with the talented handler David Padilla. ‘Fritzi is owned by Gerogina Jensen, San Francisco/USA
We received this message from her proud owner Georgina Jensen
‘Wildwest aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ was at the Christmas show in Wels/Austria. He was placed by the judge Mrs A. Petkevica from Lithuania. ‘Maxime’ received an unsatisfactory 2nd place. The owner is the Laminger family from near Graz.
‘Caro’ had her last show in 2024, the Christmas show in Gorinchem on 7 December 2025, judged by Mrs M. Ten Cate/NL. Without much effort ‘Caro’ won Best of Breed . The ring of honour lasts until it was finally time at 5 pm. Group 1 was also judged by Mrs Ten Cate. ‘Caro’ was under the last 6 and we were seen off with a handshake from her and the remark ‘Sorry, nothing for you today’.
Caro’ should have won this group!!! It’s a pity when a judge doesn’t recognise what a jewel he has in the ring.
‘Vorbildlich aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ BOB
The last show for 2024: Brussels on 14.12.2024. You only register for this show if you simply want to win or need one last CAC. There is a double CAC in each class and 4 Res CACs count for 1 full CAC. This is an exception in Belgium. Normally there is only 1 CAC for the males and 1 CAC for the females. The Res CAC is only upgraded if the winning dog is already Belgian Champion. The judges come from all over the world and most of them have never been heard of. The result is that EVERY dog gets an Excellent and therefore a double CAC. We call this a ‘cheap champion’. Now the rules were still in force with 4 CAC’s you could become Belgian Champion without 1 year and 1 day between the first and last CAC. But someone stopped that with an injunction. Thank God…..
As there are 2 shows on 2 days, the first show starts at 8 o’clock in the morning. This means that in order to get a parking space somewhere that doesn’t involve a 30-minute walk, you have to be there at around 6am. In other words, our alarm clock was set for 3.30 am on Saturday. This time the entrance was well organised and the doors opened before 6.30am. The halls were ice cold again!!! only the hall with the ring of honour and the sales stands was heated. We were freezing and sat in the hall with gloves and hats on.
‘ Skipper’ was entered for both shows, as his year was now over and he could finish his Belgian Champion. In our breed ‘ Skipper’ was the only male, one bitch intermediate class, 2 bitches open class and 1 champion class….. On the 2nd day we and Chris van Beirendonk stayed at home. There were even less dogs.
Let’s make it short: Ch. Udo Jürgens from the Elbe-Urstromtal’ won 2, Best of Breed and is therefore Belgian Champion. Best bitch was ‘Ormekaa There she goes’ she came from England
On 15.12.2024 Heidi and Peter’s sister arrived from Switzerland. ‘Grace’ was exactly 9 months old on this day and was able to start in the junior class. She also won this class at both shows. Excellent 1 for ‘ X’Texas Lonestar aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ owner Mrs A. Bardelli/CH
The year ends with a great success:
Best Show OES in the Netherlands is : Ch. Vorbildlich aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’
Best Show Male at the OES is: Ch. Udo Jürgens from the Elbe-Urstromtal’.
You think you have finished the shows and then Mrs Bardelli travels to Nitra in Slovakia to take part in 4 shows over 3 days.
Her 9 months old ‘X’Texas Lonestar aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ won on 3 shows V1 with Junior CAC and 3 x Best Young Dog. She was also awarded Best Bitch by the Dutch judge Mr Doedijn. Only 1 time she got only a ‘Very good’ from the Czech judge Mr Milan Krinke.
Best Male and BOB ‘ Reatas Engergizer, the judge Mr Doedijns and Best Bitch with 9 months “X’Texas Lonestar aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”.
