Europasieger in Dortmund/GER and Euro OES in the Netherlands

As mentioned more than once, the month of May is fully occupied with Shows. On Friday 10-05-2013, I had to go to the Europasieger in Dortmund. An enormous program, that you can only effort not to go, if you dislike the judge. In Dortmund the OES were judged by Mr. Hartig and we took a chance and won. There where many competitors from Russia and that gives winning something extra, by the way our Doro was looking magnificent.  That was also seen by Mr. Hartig and he made Doro Best Of Breed and Europasiegerin 2013. This title she also won in 2012. In an enormous Big Ring, with more that 42 dogs in Group 1, we where placed amongst the last 6, with Mr. E. Wieldraaier, a Dutch Allrounder as judge.

The next day, in Oosterbeek/NL, the Euro OES Show was held. 166 OES from all over Europe, more than 400 breeders, Showers and enthusiasts of the Breed where came together here. It rained all day long and it was cold. The judge at this show is always the person who judges Crufts in the UK the following year. This judge can select a co-judge. As I was not happy with this judge, I decided to leave King and Doro at home. The co-judge, Mrs. Burnes,  had the chance to judge our “new” Niki. There were many dear, longtime friends and aquintances present to have a glance at the 166 OES’ from the different nations. A Gala dinner follows and after that the party starts. This is a crazy evening and guarantees that you go to bed late. In our case it was 02.30 hrs. Unfortunately we had to drive home that night. The alarm went of at 08.00, because we where having guests.

Our “Niki”, 11 months old, became 2nd in an enormous Youth Class. “Aryakas Niki Elbe-Urstrumtal

My best and dearest friend Matteo Autolitano came driving 2000 Km from Italy, to be at the Euro Show. He is the breeder of the father of our Nicki, “Ch. Zeppelin Alcapone”
