The springshow in Luxemburg and News in April 2017

There are some shows with a lot of tradition. The 2 CACIB’s show’s in Luxembourg have a VERY long tradition. In the spring of 1975 I exhibited “Orplids Andrella” there for the first time. At that time, the exhibition halls were still in the city center. For many many years, the Dog Mecca has been in Luxembourg on the Kirchberg. For many years, a hardcore of exhibitors have formed an integral part there. 3500 to 5000 dogs in 2 days. This year, new car parks are being built and there were problems with the exhibitors parking their cars. Some people needed 1.5 hours to park and get in the hall and the stress levels were very high. This happened to the Horschler family, who finally arrived at the Bobtailring at 9.15 am. At 9.30 the judging started ……. Mr Uwe Nölke from Germany, had 16 OES to judge. Regrettably Nicole Neicken had forgotten to sign up her “Ostwind” in the intermediate and / or open class. In both classes there was no registration. If she had been there, she would have become champion that day. These are the unique opportunities in life, which are usually not given a second time. No matter! Her brother “On Top aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” with the Horschler family had done everything as discussed and he won his 2nd CAC in Luxembourg in the open class. Thus, on this day, he won LUXEMBOURG champion at the tender age of 17 months. Frau Horschler was so excited that all the winners’ photos were blurred. “Macho” is the 27th Champion child of my “Texas” (Eldorado) and the 4th Champion child of “Doro” (Jadore.) Doro has had 2 litters of 7 and 4 puppies.
Simply brilliant these 2 dogs! Family van Bossche showed “Pepe” Ch. Nochmal aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal in the champion class. He got the “Res-CAC” after my “Norman”.  With that, “Nochmal” added his Luxembourg Champion title to his long list of titles. Yes, and my “Nörmchen” (Norman Harrison) won best of breed. That was was around 11 am. The “punishment” when one becomes the best of breed, one has to wait for the honorary ring and the group 1 judging. That is always very late in Luxembourg. At 18:00, it was finally our turn. The judge was Mr. Schaffer from France. He was finished in 5 minutes and had chosen 3 French breeds for the first 3 places, so the long wait was not worth it, but you don’t know that in advance! It was definitely a nice day with my dear friend Monika Fuss and her Beardie, who also won everything. There was a very good “buffet” compiled by the Bobtail people present. This makes exhibiting a pleasant social event, as it should be. My day started at 4 in the morning and at 9 pm I was back home.

“Macho” alias Ch. “On Top aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” war mit Herrchen und Frauchen Horschler zur Nationalen Show in Gubewille/Frankreich. Frau Solonge Roser richtet die Bobtails und war von Qualitäten von Macho überzeugt. Er wurde Bester der Rasse. Im Ehrenring kam er unter die letzten 6 der Gruppe 1. Ein Show, die die Reise Wert war.
