Exhibitions November 2022

November is a VERY busy month, with actually too many exhibitions. When you’re crazy like me, you go to everyone. The month started on November 5th, 2022 with the Int-Show in Bleiswijk/Netherlands. The judge was Mr. R. Blessing from Germany. We were there with Cloe and Uschi. 8 dogs were registered and 7 were shown, only 1 male. A bitch in the champion class came from Germany. Priscilla van Oosten showed Kinga’s “Cloe”. “Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” has now won her 2nd Junior CAC. The star of the day was our Uschi. At the age of 16 months she became Best of Breed: Nl-JCh. “Uschi glass aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

In the ring of honor in group 1, Mrs. K. Nölke from Germany judged, but she had liked our beautiful Uschi.

Photos with thanks to Jürgen Kurz and the videos are from my darling Paul.

Res Best Bitch became my dear Chris Beirendonk with her “Stunning Stien of Snowboot Bears”, left “Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

On the weekend of November 12th and 13th, 2022, Paul and I went to the double CACIB show in Karlsruhe/GER with “Ocean” and “Uschi”. We drove away leisurely on Friday afternoon, it’s a little over 400km to our hotel. Of course, our Hotel was only 10 minutes around the corner from the halls. Karlsruhe has very large, bright halls. A well organized show with plenty of space. Barbara Müller from Switzerland was supposed to judge on Saturday. But the good one was ill. Instead, Mr. Kliebenstein came, who actually just retired as judge. Therefore 5 of the 12 registered bitches did not come. I suspect they probably don’t have all their teeth and therefore did not wanted to show under this  judge. Now there were only 3 males and 4 females, 2 of them in the champion class. “Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstormtal” was alone in the intermediate class and received all entitlements. “Ch. Love ‘n Stuff aus dem Elbeurstomtal” won the champion class. However,  Uschi then won over our Ocean. Uschi became Best Bitch and our Ocean Res Best Bitch “Uschi” has the title Alpensieger.

“Uschi”

We were judged around 10am and since we didn’t have to stay for the ring of honor we went back to the hotel around noon and rested. we had a very early wakeup this day  at 5.30 am.

In the evening we went to eat in the well-known restaurant “Erbprinz” in Ettlingen. A great experience.

The next day was very relaxed. The judging didn’t start until around 1 p.m. So sleep in and approach everything relaxed. We were in the hall at around 10.30 a.m. and still found space for our dogs and our things. On this day,  Mrs. R. Wagner from Luxemburg were our judge. Today 12 dogs were also registered, 10 were on site. The bitch from the champion class gave up and didn’t come. Uschi had 2 other bitches as competition. Everything went great for our girls. However, this time the other way around: Uschi wins the intermediate class and Ocean the champion, but: “Ch. Love ‘n Stuff Elbeurstromtal” becomes best bitch with CACIB, CAC and “Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” becomes best bitch.

“Ocean”

After a relaxed drive back, we were back home around 8 p.m.

On Wednesday “Cloe” was with us for a bath, blow-dry and brush. Then she rested. The next morning at 9 a.m. she went on a trip towards Geneva/CH together with Ocean.

The weekend from November 18th to 20th. was very exciting. “Ocean” and “Cloe” went to Geneva, Switzerland with Peggy Kraaijenveld and Miranda Hoksbergen for a 3-day show with a total of 4 shows. “Cloe”   won the 2 Junior CACs  on friday, who are needed for the title of Swiss Junior Champion on Friday. In addition, she won  best junior both times: “Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal“. Cloe is owned by Kinga Kolscar

“Ocean” won the 4th CAC in Switzerland on Friday afternoon and now has the title: Swiss Champion “Love’N Stuff Elbeurstromtal“. Our hopes were not fulfilled and “Ocean” only won 3x Res-CACIB and became Res- Best Bitch. She is only missing 1 CACIB in a 3rd country for the title International Champion.

On Saturday 19-11-2022 Paul and I drove 2 hours across Belgium. The Eurodogshow took place in Kortrijk, about 3 km from the French border. This exhibition has a long tradition and Kortrijk is a beautiful old town. On Saturday afternoon, while we were sitting in the Hotel Damier and drinking beer and champagne, I remembered that I stayed there for the first time in 1979, on the occasion of the exhibition. We spent a wonderful evening in the city. The next morning we drove with “Uschi” from the hotel to the hall to be in front of the hall at around 7.30 am. The online catalog wasn’t online until around noon….. we found out in the Hall at the ring, that the judging doesn’t start until 11 a.m. The judge was an Italian Mrs. A. Albrigo. Of the 11 registered dogs, 2 were not on site. There were 2 males and the rest were the ladies. The judge liked “Uschi Glas aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” so much that she became Best of Breed. we were happy

Now the long wait began. The ring of honor with the group judging begins at 4 p.m. But it was worth it. “Uschi” did extremly well in the big ring and was 2nd. Best of the big group 1. Judge was the Frenchman Mr. J.J. dupas.

Very good news comes from Guatemala by Angelique Cordovan. She was in San Salvador with her “Van Cleef Aus Dem Elbe-Urstromtal” (8 months old), called Aramis. The Americas and Caribbean Show took place there. “Aramis” was 4th best puppy of the show.

The last weekend in November we spent 3 days in Leeuwareden/Netherlands. For many, many years there has always been a CACIB show in Leeuwarden on Easter Monday. At some point, many years later, the hall burned down. After reconstruction there were some exhibitions until the kynologist club no longer organized a show. Normally the Winner ALWAYS took place in Amsterdam. In 1975 I was there for the first time in RAI building. Many great victories won there over the many years. Then the city of Amsterdam decided that they no longer wanted to have dog shows. Now the Raad van Beheer (that is the VDH in Germany) has discovered Leeuwarden as an alternative.

On Thursday we drove the 300km north. Stayed in Organjewoud in a great hotel with plenty of space for both dog and human. On Friday the Frysian Winner Show took place with all breeds in one day. That was VERY crowded. We had a change of judges and now the Italian Pietro Bottagiso judged our breed. The man is awesome!!! It went straight to my favorite judges list.

We had only entered “Cloe”. There were 2 other bitches with Cloe in the youth class: Ultra Chic aus dem  Elbe Urstromtal owned  by Gerda Jolink and Peggy Kraaijenveld with her Hockesberghe’s Walc Grace us Guila.

Chloe wins junior class, Ultrachic No. 2 and Peggy with Grace No. 3

Mr. Bottagisio was enthusiastic about Cloe: Excellent 1, J-CAC and thus Dutch Junior Champion and… Res. Best Bitch.

Swiss and Dutch Junior Champion “Unison aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” owner Kinga Kolscar

My dear Chris Beirendonk won Best of Breed and 3rd in Group with her bitch Stunning Stien of Snowbootbears.

But that was not all: In the ring of honor “Cloe” won the group 1 of the junior dogs and became Res- Best in Show Junior, the judge was the Norwegian Arne Foss

On 26-11-2022 the Winner Show took place in the same halls. Only 11 OES were registered, 2 males and 9 females, judge was Mr. M. Wibier from the Netherlands. “Uschi” was alone in the intermediate class, “Lilou” had another bitch as competition in the champion class. “Cloe” was in junior class with 2 other bitches. Priscilla van Oosten introduces “Cloe”.  I could’nt  show 3 dogs in a row, this is just too much for my bad knee.

Priscilla and “Cloe” did everything right: Junior Winner Leeuwarden and against the Junior Male she won Best Junior “Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” owner Kinga Kolscar

Peggy with her Ginny on the 2nd place, Gerda Jolink with “Ultrachic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” on the 3rd place and “Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromal” with Priscilla van Oosten were the winner.
