June is the month of really big miracles!

The judge Ms. De Wit/NL judged Chris van Beirendonk’s young male dog at 11 a.m. at the Dutch Bobtail Club’s Young Dog Day. He is the only one of the 15 young dogs who gets a VERY GOOD rating. 2 hours later, same place, same judge, Ms. Godelieve de Wit/NL, but this time it is the Bobtail Club Championshipshow. Here the male is chosen as the best of the breed out of 15 Bobtails!!!

In the morning he was too long, the Top line wasn’t good etc.etc. so really construction fefects. They were not longer ther 2 hours later.

Do I have to understand that? No, I was pissed off because I only became Res-Best Male with Ch. “Udo Jürgens aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”.  This resvere point was enough for Ch. “Udo Jürgens aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” to now be Dutch champion, but it’s not our style to work on the title like that.

I also had “Ch. Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” owner Kinga Kolscar with me. She had puppies at the beginning of January and looked great again. She won the Champion class over “Brywns Zelda”. But she got nothing else. The best bitch was a pretty bitch from the youth class and the Res-prize also went to the youth class bitch. Our “Unisono” should actually have been on the Res spot.

This story was on Facebook and Ms De Wit would have liked to have been able to comment on her reasons for this decision. Unfortunately nothing came.

We drove 3 hours there and another 3 hours back for this crap!

On Saturday June 8th, 2024 a CAC exhibition took place in Geldrop/NL. There were 4 OES registered for the Belgian Mr. Jos de Cuypers. Chris with her youth class male “Demabo Casanova”, in the champion class “Udo Jürgens aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”.  “Skipper” won best male and “Casanova” became Res and thus became Dutch Youth Champion. His 3rd youth title.

Our “Caro” started in the intermediate class. She has won EVERYTHING in the last 5.5 months, including being Best of Breed in the youth class in January with Mr. Jos de Cuypers and Best of Breed also with Mr. De Cupyers at the beginning of April at the big International Show in Luxembourg.

She always had the bitch “Brywns Zelda” owned by J. Wulteputte/BEL as competition and always defeated her. Also with all the other judges when she had to play against our “Caro”. Mr. Wulteputte/BEL, her owner shows his dog “naturally”.  In other words: he doesn’t want to or can’t brush up.

It’s hard to believe but it happened: Mr. de Cupypers let this dog win over our extraordinary “Caro”.

An Excellent Dog that is not groomed is still an Excellent Dog!

A very good dog, when brushed up, does not become excellent, but remains very good!

If I drive too fast, or park wrong, or do whatever wrong, I get a ticket from the police. Why are judges who make wrong decisions allowed to go unpunished? As an exhibitor you can donate your time, energy and money to exhibit, but you are not allowed to complain. I’ve had this really strange hobby for 52 years and I can’t stand it.

For the competition for best of breed, I declined to introduce “Udo Jürgens”. I wanted this dog to go into the Ring of Honor as a statement. My dear Chris van Beirendonk was ready with Ch. Udo Jürgens aus dem Elbe Urstromtal to compete for the BOB. He was brushed up, i.e. not naturally exhibited and was thus

It was 11 a.m. the weather was good and now Liliane Friederich, the proud owner of “Skipper” and I had to wait for the group judging at 4 p.m.

“Skipper” and “Caro” had a good rest. We want them  to register for the competition: who has the biggest nose.

The Irishman Colm Hastings breeds beautiful bobtails himself. He judges Group 1 and we were in the last 6 but not placed.

On Sunday June 9th, 2024 the championship of the other bobtail club (OESNLA) in the Netherlands took place in Arcen/NL. They invited Mr. Nikolas Kanalas from Italy/Greece as judge. He is the breeder of the Aryakas OES and his husband Matteo Autolitano breeds the Airzeppelin OES. It was his first exhibition, he is only allowed to judge at national shows, i.e. CAC shows until now.

There were 31 OES registered, with some “friendship” registration. After careful consideration, I decided not to show my dogs. That was a good thing, I spent the day relaxing in the sun and a bit of wind and drove home in the evening with the feeling that I had made exactly the right decision.

Chris van Beirendonk showed her “Winnetou aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” in the puppy class for the last time. He is now 8.5 months old.

Angelika Bardelli showed on Saturday in Germany in Gäufelden and became best of the breed with “Ch. Verliebt aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”. “Luana” has therefore fulfilled all the conditions for the German and VDH champion.

On Sunday June 9th, 2024 she exhibited her “Luana” at the OESNLA club match in the champion class and received an excellent 2nd place.

Her little “X’Lonestar aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” was allowed to take part in the debutante class. A great exercise for such a little Baby.

Gerda Jolink was at 3 exhibitions on 2 days in Aarau/CH on June 22nd/23rd, 2024. been. On the first day it was pouring rain, on the second day it was dry. No matter the results among 3 different judges are top:

3x Best Female, 2 x CACIB, 3 x CAC and two new titles for Multi Ch. “Ultra Chic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” Swiss Beauty Champion and Swiss Show Champion.

The last weekend of June has brought 3 new titles to our kennel with 2 beautiful ladies.

On Saturday the 29th of June the International Show of Utrecht took place. But not in Utrecht, but in Arnhem/NL. Judge for the 4 OES was the Danish Mrs Hoier. “Ch. Unisono aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” had 8 puppies 6 months ago and was beautiful again. She won Best Bitch with CACIB and CAC and so could win the titles: International and Dutch Champion. She became Best Bitch. Best of Breed was the father of her puppies Ch. Airzeppelin Hercules Junior of Mat’n Nic.

On Sunday I set off in the direction of Genk/Belgium at 7.30am. I could have slept in!!! I wanted to support Gerda Jolink with her “Ziva” and my dear Martina Weissmann with her “Tilly”. She was shown for the first time in the junior class.

“Ch. UltraChic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” owned by Gerda Jolink won Best of Breed with CACIB, CAC and rounded off her 10th title: Belgian Champion. The judge was the Slovene Mr R. Rajic

The only male entered in the junior class became BOS “Waco of Hillbilly Heights” ,the judge and myself with Ch. “Ultrachic aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”
