Exhibitions July 2025
Sometimes I think, why did you even register with the judge….. that happened to me at the show in Hoogeveen/NL on 6-7-2025. It was also a 2.5 hour drive to the north of the Netherlands one way and back again. It was very windy and later it was pouring with rain.
A serious error of judgement on my part and that really annoyed me.
The judge was Mrs Erika Bakker from the Netherlands, 1 male and 3 females were entered.
Our ‘ X’Texas Amarillo aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ got excellent 1 in the intermediate class. ‘Heidi’ has a perfect scissor bite. Mrs Bakker warned me that the lower jaw must not grow any more, then it would become a pincer bite. I explained to her that this bitch is 15 months old and is no longer growing. We didn’t even have to run for the Res-CAC…….
‘Caro’ became Best Bitch, with the explanation that she would take the male dog for BOB today. OK…… do you have to try to understand this reason?
Best of breed ‘ Love’n Stuff American Snowbootbears’ from Chris van Beirendonk, the judge Mrs Bakker and BOS ” Vorbildlich aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

We went to the show in Waalwijk/NL for the first time on Saturday 12-7-2025. This is a small cynological club that had organised a CAC show on their beautiful grounds. Only a 1 hour drive for us. We arrived on time and were able to park nearby. Those who arrived later had a really long walk to the car park.
The Portuguese Mr J. Homem de Mello judged the 4 bobtail girls. Our ‘Heidi’ got her Excellent 1 in the intermediate class, but unfortunately not the Res- CAC. I have to practise with Paul how to show ….

‘Caro’ did everything right again and became best of breed Multi Ch. ” Vorbildlich aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

It was very warm from midday and the ring of honour at 4pm was in full sun and VERY hot. ‘Caro’ had fun and enjoyed herself and once again ran so well through the ring of honour that I could hardly keep up.
Mrs Godelieve de Wit judges group 1 and ‘Caro’ was 3rd best of the group

Martina Weissmann was at the Special Show of British Herding Dogs in Spiesen in Saarland on 13 July 2025. Mrs Heidi Müller was the judge and rewarded Ch. ‘ West Side Story aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ with Best of Breed. At the end of the day, Paul Jentgen from Luxembourg judged the Best in Show and this was awarded to Martina with ” Tilly

On 19/20 July, the well-known and popular double exhibition of the German OES Club took place in Wirges (near Koblenz), Germany. We were there for two days in dry but very warm weather. A very beautiful venue, good hospitality, nice relaxed people, and 33 Old English Sheepdogs. The judge on Saturday was Kevin Young from Scotland and on Sunday it was Ms K. Mc Devitte from Ireland.
‘Peter’ X’Texas El Paso aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal, Saturday, Excellent 1, CAC, VDH-SA and Res-Best Male, which he repeated on Sunday.
‘Heidi’ X’Texas Amarillo aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal‘ Saturday, Excellent 1, CAC, VDH-SA, which she repeated on Sunday and, together with “Tilly” ’Ch. West Side Story aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”, became Reserve Best Female. Tilly won the well-attended Champion class on both days and completed the German Club Champion title on Sunday.
Our three teenagers, aged 16 and 20 months, were named ‘Best Breeding Group’ together, and Peter and Heide were also named Best Couple on both days.

Gesa Milde was at the German Winner in Gelsenkirchen on 25 July 2025. The judge was Mr Javor Davor from Reata OES. He is on my top ten list of judges I never would go under on first place. Gesa was lucky that he didn’t give her wonderful ‘Floris’ a ‘very good’ rating. He condescended to give him an Excellent 1 with CACIB. But not Best Male or BOB, which he would have had to win even on three legs. The competition was rather manageable and consisted of 75% of his puppy buyers. Nothing embarrasses this man.

” Vivian Westwood aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” won her last CAC at the show in Klagenfurt on Sunday, 28 July 2025. Now the Laminger family is the proud owner of a newly crowned Austrian champion
