Exhibitions in April 2026
We have so few shows at the moment, I really don’t know what to do with all this free time… (just kidding)
The traditional double show in Luxembourg is always held in late March/early April. This time it fell on the Easter weekend. On Saturday, the Hungarian judge Ms Judith Papp was in charge. It was well worth it for me to enter our young, beautiful “Heidi” under her.
On the second day, Mr Uwe Nölke was due to judge. After what he did to me at the show in Bleiswijk in early November, he’ll never get another entry from me. The report is in November Shows 2025.
Gesa Milde also wanted to come with her “Floris” on both days. I couldn’t stop her from entering on the second day. That turned out to be a good thing, as there was a change of judge after the entry deadline. It was now Mr Claus Peter Fricke from Germany. “Heidi” had won Group 1 under him at the big Dortmund show and had been Best of Breed on the second day at the National Winner Show. But I hadn’t entered her.
The journey to Luxembourg always takes you through beautiful countryside, mostly without any traffic jams. The show is very well organised, I have enjoyed attending it since 1975.
There were only four males across three classes, with one male from the Champion class still missing. Two danish exhipitors had made the long journey to show in Luxembourg.
Among the bitches, there were only three: Heidi, in the Open Class, and the veteran bitch from Denmark. In Luxembourg, there is one CAC in each class, and to become a Luxembourg Champion, you need two CACs. However, just one CAC is sufficient from the Champion Class.
Unfortunately, it was not Gesa with her ‘Floris’ who won, but the Danish male.
But “Heidi” did win Best of Breed.
Ch. X- Texas Amarillo aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal BOB, judged by Mrs Papp, and the Best of Sex male Ch. “Enchant Kingsize of Love

In Group 1, judged by Ms Papp, our ‘Heidi’ was still among the last six dogs from this ever-growing group.

On the second day, Gesa had to manage everything on her own with her ‘Floris’. She did a brilliant job!
Best of Breed: ‘Ch. Wanted you aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’, new Luxembourg Champion; the judge, Mr Fricke; and BOS the female: ‘Ch. Reatas Emma Lou’ from Denmark
besseres Foto habe ich nicht bekommen.
Group 1 in the ring of honour was also judged by Mr Fricke (GER), and much to my and Gesa’s delight, he awarded “Floris” third place. A wonderful day for Gesa and her beautiful “Floris”
“Ch. Wanted you aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” 3rd place, Group 1

We received news from Costa Rica from Silvia Api that her ‘Ch White Socks aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’ (a litter-mate of ‘Wanted You’) was named 4th Best in Show in Group 1 in 2025

Last weekend in the VERY North of Finland had ” Rilla” at 11 months of age her first show. She got a very lovely judgingreport and her owner Merja Laine was proud of Y’Dornröschen aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal”

On 26 April 2026, a special show organised by the Club for British Herding Dogs took place in Berlin. Gesa Milde won Best of Breed with Ch. ‘Wanted you aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal’. The judge was Ms H. Müller-Heinz (GER).
