2 days Easter Show, Goes/NL

Normally spoken are you at home during Easter, are looking for Eastereggs and you would be eating Chocolate Eggs. Not us, as we are Show fanatics! You can also eat the chocolate eggs in good company at a show. Goes is located in the province Zeeland at the south coast of the Dutch North Sea. During Easter it is full of tourists. This Show is held for a long time, but this year there was something new, It had become a two day show. This meand that 1700 to 1800 dogs, who are normally judged in two days, would now be judged in one day, in the same halls. That was terrible. It was much too crowded, people where agressive, there where fights at the ring and one dogs had his tail cut of by an electrical scooter. The poor animal didn’t survive. Parkings where too full and there where fights during the participation at the parking etc., etc. At the second day it was not quite as crowded, but it was still a nightmare. Should the Organisation of the Show not do anything against this and should there not be more space next year, I don’t know if I want to do this again.

Nevertheless it was a very succesfull Show for us. During both days, we had “Norman” and “Senta” with us and both had been enetered in the Youth Class. Both had 3 competitors in their classes and both won. Senta performed a little beter than her brother Norman and became, with her 10 months, Best Bitch. I was over the moon.

On Saturday, 04 April the judging was done by Mr. Harris from Ireland and on Sunday 05 April it was his countryman Mr. Timmins.

On Saturday it rained cats and dogs, but when leaving the hall on Sunday at 14.00, the weather was beautiful.

On Easter Saturday, a large Show was held in Dublin/Ireland. The judging here was done by Breed Specialist and Allround Judge Mrs. Barbara Müller from Switserland. Colm Hastings showed a litter sister of Senta and Norman, called Mini. She also had a good day and became Best Bitch. What a terrific litter!

And litter sister, “New Shoes aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal” happily sits in the garden of her house in Viersen/GER with the Rech family and is a happy house dog.
